Dr. Pfeifer grew up in Houston, Texas. He graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1975, and received his Doctor of Optometry degree, from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1979.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Physicians of Washington. He has served as the president of the King County Society of Optometric Physicians and then as president of the Optometric Physicians of Washington.
His professional interests include diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease; dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, foreign body removal and macular degeneration. Dr. Pfeifer enjoys specialty contact lenses for correction of astigmatism, extended wear and Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT).
In addition to his Optometric activities, Dr. Pfeifer is one of nine founding directors of Prime Pacific Bank in Lynnwood and currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Prime Pacific Financial Services. He lives in Burien with his wife Dr. Cindy Murrill and has three children, Thomas, Nicholas and Annie.
